I support and help people, and their families and friends, who potentially have begun or has lost capacity when they have a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) in place and when they don’t, through the Court of Protection. For people who have no family or friends, I help them on an everyday basis with financial decisions, ensuring decisions are made in their best interests.
I also help people to prepare for the future by nominating someone to make decisions on their behalf with an LPA whilst they can still make decisions for themselves.
My relevant experience includes managing a Court of Protection team at a London law firm and a senior role in the Adult, Children and Education legal team at Hertfordshire County Council. This background has given me expertise in a wide range of situations and thorough knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. This means that I can deliver pragmatic solutions that protect your interests. Coupled with my calm and friendly nature, I sensitively address often difficult topics as I guide you and your family through the legal process.
