I am a senior associate solicitor specialising in commercial contracts, intellectual property, IT contracts and data protection law. I also have expertise in advising on the establishment and sale of shares to employee ownership trusts.
I work closely with my clients to understand their business in order to prepare contractual documentation and provide legal advice to facilitate business growth and limit their legal risks with customers, suppliers and business partners.
I am a recognised lawyer for corporate and commercial in The Legal 500 UK, one of the leading legal directories.
Expertise
I help a range of clients from local businesses to UK branches of multinational companies with
- IT agreements, including terms for software as a service (SaaS) and terms of service for websites and apps
- Terms and conditions of business

I prepare internal policies and procedures for data protection compliance and help clients respond to data subject access requests.
I studied law at the University of East Anglia, then completed the Legal Practice Course at College of Law, Guildford. I trained with a regional firm (with offices in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire) then joined the company commercial team of a St Albans law firm as a newly qualified solicitor in 2005. I then spent 16 years with another regional firm in Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire before joining Debenhams Ottaway as a senior associate in September 2024.
