Tammie is our Court of Protection manager and has over 25 years experience of working in the fields of Court of Protection and care for the elderly. As part of the award winning private client team, she deals with all Court of Protection matters, specialising in deputyship applications. She also advises on all aspects of lasting powers of attorney and the registration of enduring powers of attorney.

Tammie has built up good working relationships over the years with local care homes and she also works closely with social services.

She is responsible for deputyship applications where the firm is to be appointed as professional deputy for an individual who has lost capacity and has no-one else to manage their financial affairs. Where the firm is acting as professional deputy, Tammie is responsible for the day to day running of these deputyships.

Tammie also helps clients who wish to be appointed deputy for a family member who has lost capacity and deals with every aspect of the application for the family at what can be a difficult time.

Tammie completes annual accounts for the Office of the Public Guardian and tax returns for HMRC on behalf of her professional deputy clients, and also completes accounts on behalf of families where they are acting as deputy.

Tammie’s experience also extends to dealing with lasting powers of attorney and the registration of enduring powers of attorney at the Office of the Public Guardian.
