We were able to help a secretary following injuries she received in a road traffic accident.

Our client was travelling on the A41 in Hertfordshire when she was crushed between two vehicles. The vehicle behind her was a lorry which forced her into the vehicle in front. She was rendered unconscious, the car was written off, air bags were deployed, and she was bleeding profusely from her head. Medical evidence was obtained from a psychiatric expert, from a neurology expert in relation to a head injury sustained due to loss of consciousness, and also from a plastic surgeon. As the claimant had blacked out, liability was unclear as to whether she had collided first with the car in front or had been struck from behind by the lorry. An apportionment of liability was therefore agreed in order to achieve a settlement with the claimant receiving £23,000 damages plus costs.
