We have worked for a family run company for many years. Recently a whistleblower came forward to allege that two members of our client’s staff had conspired to falsify the company’s accident book with a view to pursuing a fraudulent personal injury claim against the company.

We asked specialist HR consultants to carry out a thorough investigation involving many members of staff. The investigation found that the accident book had been tampered with and that there was no evidence that the alleged accident had occurred.

We advised our client on the appropriate action to take at each stage of the process. This included a retaliatory grievance (a complaint by one of the conspirators), sanctions for the employees involved in the fraud and subsequent appeals.
