Following extensive efforts by the creditor to collect a debt owed to them, the company in question ignored all correspondence from them which resulted in serious cash flow problems for the creditor. The debt was not disputed so we sent a letter to advise absent payment and within three days we issued a winding up petition against the company.

The company failed to respond to the letter so a petition was issued. Upon receipt of the petition the company contacted us immediately to discuss payment as they were keen to avoid the petition being advertised in the London Gazette. The creditor was entitled to advertise the petition seven working days after service but agreed to withhold advertising for 10 days to enable full payment to be made. Full payment and costs were received in accordance with the agreement and the petition was dismissed.
