We represented a care home in an Employment Tribunal claim following one of their care workers blowing the whistle on abuse and neglect of vulnerable resident by four long serving members of staff.

Three other witnesses corroborated to these claims and the four accused workers were dismissed without notice and pay in lieu. They all brought claims for unfair and wrongful dismissal and the claims were heard in a five day trial.

The allegations against all employees were found proved in court and the judge found that dismissal was inevitable, consequently awarding nil compensation and on the grounds that employees contributed 100% to their own dismissals.
