We helped a retired wife in her divorce where the combined assets of the couple were in excess of £7million. The case was problematic as the husband did not wish to provide full financial disclosure and tried to negotiate direct with his wife to stop her from receiving her half.
As the husband was dishonest we had to obtain evidence from various experts relating to the properties, the tax situation and also some valuable assets including antiques and family heirlooms. We were able eventually to resolve matters at a Financial Dispute Resolution hearing and the wife received a settlement with which she was entirely satisfied.
