We helped a mother make an application to the Court of Protection to be appointed as personal welfare deputy together with her youngest son for her eldest son who had been brain damaged at birth.

The son is unable to receive and evaluate information or communicate decisions essential for his personal welfare, safety or self care and is dependent on his family to make decisions on his behalf. His family found it increasingly difficult to make important decisions on his behalf without a personal welfare order.

We put together a comprehensive application to the Court of Protection together with supporting documentation and reports. The court approved our application and the personal welfare order was issued and the family were delighted with the results.
