A client had signed an enduring power of attorney (EPA) before the rules changed in 2007 but not all of the attorneys had signed before this date. We advised the client as to whether the document was valid and which attorneys were validly appointed. We also advised them of the registration process if the document needed to be used if they lost mental capacity in the future.
