Debenhams Ottaway is excited to partner with local charity Small Acts of Kindness for 2023/24. Voted for by our employees, our focus continues to be on helping small local charities where we can really make a difference.
Small Acts of Kindness want every older person to feel warm in their home and connected to their community. They do this by sourcing and distributing practical gifts that reduce the negative impact that feeling lonely and isolated can have on older people’s physical and mental wellbeing. They connect communities with kindness and we are delighted to partner up to support them on their mission.
The Debenhams Ottaway team have been getting creative with ways to champion the charity. With initiatives including LawNet Ltd challenge of 30,000 steps over a 22km hike in the Lake District, football matches, raffles, donations for ‘Celebrate Christmas gift boxes’, Christmas jumper day and most recently a fundraising competition to win VIP tickets to Pub in the Park St Albans by making a donation to Small Acts of Kindness.
Lynne Misner, CEO, Small Acts of Kindness said, “We are delighted to be Debenhams Ottaway’s chosen charity and are excited about the incredible opportunities that this opens up to help some of the most vulnerable older people in our community – particularly those who are cold in their home. We look forward to working together to connect our community with kindness.”
