Have you ever wondered about the value of a family heirloom? Are you thinking of selling some jewellery? Now you have the perfect opportunity as world famous Sotheby’s is coming to Debenhams Ottaway’s offices in St Albans.
Justin Roberts, jewellery expert at Sotheby’s will be in St Albans on Tuesday 17 November 2015 offering complimentary valuations. He has over 20 years’ experience as a senior jewellery specialist, and has worked on the valuation and sale of some of the most notable jewellery collections including those of The Duchess of Windsor, Catherine the Great and the Duchess of Roxburghe.
Justin will be joined by a team from Hertfordshire independent valuers, Anderson Associates. Jane Anderson has over 30 years’ experience in auctioneering and valuations, setting up her own business in 2002. Emily Thomsen is a valuer at Andersons and has a specific interest in 20th Century decorative arts.
Silver specialist, Lorraine Turner, will also be on hand to provide valuations. Her impressive career has included managing the antiques department at Fortnum and Mason. Her later career in auctioneering brought about the discovery of an important soup tureen from the Austrian Royal Family which was found to be worth in excess of £360,000.
