A not-for-profit trust manages a large rural park for the benefit of the local community. The site includes several open spaces within residential developments. The trust is also landlord to several commercial businesses, including a nursery and sport centre/gym.
We advised on the grant of seven leases to the trust of various open spaces. We carefully considered and negotiated the obligations to be placed on the charity to ensure they matched up with what it is already doing and the original intention of the parties.
