Debenhams Ottaway is delighted to be participating in another festive trail and showing our support for a fun and interactive community event. This year sees the introduction of the Gingerbread Trail which features a family of jolly biscuity characters. As part of the trail, we have welcomed a Christmas dog character to our St Albans office, named Biscuit.
Organised by St Albans BID, the Gingerbread Trail is all about bringing families together and is a new interactive experience for the city after the successful Nutcracker Trail in previous years. There will be 10 gingerbread sculptures displayed, in windows and other public areas around St Albans from the 17th November until 23rd December. Visitors can use a map to follow the trail and search for hidden characters around the city, taking photos as they go.
We hope that this year’s freshly themed festive trail with be another successful event for the area.
How can you take part in the Gingerbread Trail?:
- Pick up a booklet in the St Albans Museum & Gallery that contains a trail map, pop into our office to get one, or download the map here
- Find the 10 gingerbread characters marked on the map. Each character can be found in the window of a St Albans city centre business.
- Write the names you see on each one on the trail map
- Once you’ve written all the names, fill in your details, carefully remove the Trail map from the booklet and post it into Santa’s postbox. The postbox is located inside the St Albans Museum & Gallery.
3 winning entries will be drawn, with each winner receiving a £50 St Albans Gift Card!
We hope you have a safe and family-friendly adventure and discover some exciting places in St Albans whilst on the Gingerbread Trail this festive season. Remember to tag @enjoystalbans and @DebenhamsOtt in your #gingerbreadtrail selfies on Instagram or Twitter.
Good luck and have fun!
