Team Cohesion, a group of students from St Albans Girls School led by their Dragon, Alex Neale, litigation lawyer at Debenhams Ottaway was triumphant at the Dragons’ Apprentice St Albans Finals last night.
At a packed auditorium at The University of Hertfordshire, Team Cohesion took away the awards for best poster, best managed team/project and also overall winner.
The judges were clear in their decisions by citing the team’s consistency throughout the challenge, ticking all of the boxes with no real flaws. The team was praised for its interaction with both the dragon and its charity, The Abbeyfield Society.
The team’s success spanned several events including a disco, quiz night and bake off, whilst also offering bracelets imported from China for a large mark up. Team Cohesion raised a total of £1,680 for Abbeyfield, a charity providing care and support for older people.
Alex Neale, the team’s Dragon commented “I am very proud of the girls for all of their hard work, and the awards are thoroughly deserved. I was very impressed with not only their enthusiasm, but their entrepreneurial flair to maximise the total raised and also to profile the charity. Well done Team Cohesion.”
