Belinda is a senior lawyer in the family team with over 15 years’ experience in all aspects of family law. Having joined the firm in 2015 from a specialist London practice, Belinda deals with clients with a reassuring confidence and immense pragmatism.
Her successful management of cases is welcomed by clients who appreciate her supportive and sympathetic approach to their emotional needs and practical problems. Belinda is dedicated to providing excellent client service and cost effective solutions.
Belinda deals with pre and post-nuptial agreements, advises unmarried couples and has vast experience dealing with divorce and financial arrangements for a wide range of clients. Whether dealing with modest cases and properties or assets worth millions in trusts where there are complex issues or international elements, Belinda regularly works closely with forensic accountants, actuaries and financial advisers.
Where mediation is either inappropriate or unsuccessful Belinda has prepared cases in the High Court, Central Family Court as well as local County Courts and has a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes for clients even in the most intractable disputes. She demonstrates a robust, no nonsense approach to litigation and is able to identify key issues of any case.
As well as dealing with financial arrangements Belinda also deals with arrangements for children where agreements cannot be reached. She offers significant expertise in private children law proceedings for child arrangement orders, permission to remove applications (to relocate overseas) as well as child abduction matters.
Born and raised locally, Belinda studied classics in Leeds, law in Manchester and qualified in London before settling there. She regularly organises and attends seminars to ensure she keeps up to date with developments in law and her technical expertise.
Belinda is a member of Hertfordshire Resolution and the Hertfordshire Law Society.
