We were able to help our 42-year-old wealth planner client who sustained a hamstring injury when he fell on a dangerous surface by a ticket barrier at a railway station.

Liability was initially disputed and later conceded. Our client sustained a right 10cm hamstring tear, a large haematoma and almost complete separation of the hamstring muscle. He was placed in a brace for several weeks and was left with a permanent scarring as a result of the surgery. He continues to suffer from proximal hamstring pain and weakness and experiences difficulties with high impact physical activities and his supporting activities remain restricted. He remains at risk of a re-rupture in the future. The claim was settled after issuing proceedings and a payment of £50,000 damages to our client.
