We successfully worked for a scaffolder who was seriously injured when he fell 10 metres through an unguarded roof skylight whilst working at a Mothercare store in North London. His injuries included a compound fracture of the right tibia and fibula.

The defendant employer denied liability arguing that the client was an experienced scaffolder who failed to take adequate precautions for his own safety and/or failed to follow instructions given to him by his supervisor.

As a result of us issuing and serving proceedings on the defendant, primary liability was conceded and settlement after taking account of contributory negligence was achieved in the sum of £65,000.
