We helped a client who was born in 1991 and sustained brain damage when he was three months old following an assault by his father.  A claim for compensation under the Criminal Injuries Compensation Scheme 1990 was lodged on his behalf.  He was deemed eligible for an award but because of the severity of his injuries, the amount of compensation was adjourned until he reached adulthood.

We instructed experts and provided the tribunal with reports and a detailed schedule of past and future losses including loss of earnings, care, physiotherapy/gym, case management, buddying support and Court of Protection/deputy fees was formulated.

The client was awarded a total of £1.9million which will be paid into his personal injury trust.
