We worked with the family of a young overseas worker who was working as agency staff on a farm in the South West of England.  Whilst working on a potato harvester he was fatally injured.

We collected details of the dependency claim, however there were elements of future loss which were highly speculative.  Nevertheless we arranged for proceedings to be served on the defendant who failed to serve a defence so we entered judgment. We successfully opposed the defendant’s application to set aside judgment.

Final settlement was achieved with the family receiving compensation of £45,000.
