We acted for a 59-year-old kitchen assistant employed in a nursing home.

Our client was injured whilst operating a food blender which caused a serious laceration to her left index finger. The injury required surgery, leading to denervation of her fingertip which has left diminished sensation, abnormal sensation, cold intolerance and restricted range of movement. Liability was disputed in full. Following issue and service of proceedings, a liability split allowing for some contributory fault by our client was agreed and the case was settled for a meaningful five figure damages payment to our client.
