We advised a senior and skilled carpenter working at Leavesden Film Studios in their workshop.  On his return from break to resume work he tripped over a tangle of cables for electrical power tools that were plugged into a wall socket.

As a result the client sustained a serious hip injury and developed psychiatric disturbance and injury.  We obtained and served psychiatric and orthopaedic expert reports.

Liability remained unresolved and proceedings had to be issued following which we made an application for interim payment which prompted the defendant to offer satisfactory settlement and our client received £90,000 damages.
