It’s been a busy few months for Lorna Bowler, the cyclist we are sponsoring through SportsAid in memory of Patrick McGrath.
Lorna has been busy racing in the Revolution Series and was part of Team Wiggins. The last Revolution race took place on 3 December in London which was covered on Eurosport. Lorna took 10th, 7th and 5th place in her races which was a great achievement. She was in good company with Laura Trott racing in the women’s omnium, and she also met Sir Chris Hoy.
Lorna was also recently accepted to join the Backstedt Cycling team and will be racing in their colours next year. She will be moving up into the junior age category which involves longer and harder races and she will have the chance to race abroad including France and Sweden.
Lorna has had a fantastic year and we are so pleased our sponsorship is helping this aspiring young cyclist. Debenhams Ottaway will continue to sponsor Lorna in 2017, no doubt another year full of more great successes for her.
